I just hope like everybody here that they will release the Linux client very soon, as it seems pretty mature in the version we all tested. Rated as one of the best apps for taking notes, Evernote auto-syncs. I am really happy with Evernote and since a month all the clients (Android, Web and Windows (in the VM) are working very well for me. Maybe they run out of resources and needed to make the switch finally, to not waste more money. As GNOME is the preferred graphical user interface for a considerable amount of Linux distributions, its only right that we check it out. Each note can be tagged, annotated, edited, searched, given attachments, and exported. Using it you can create notes using text, drawings, add photographs, audio, or web content. Evernote is an application for note-taking, organizing, task management, and archiving. but we all don't know here what was the internal situation. The question is if Evernote offers a Linux client or have any plans for one. Of course they could have done it better by more and better testing etc. Being a senior full stack developer myself, I can tell that such a switch from a legacy code base to something totally new is hard. There are official Evernote clients available for Windows, OS X, and mobile platforms but not for Linux. The roll out was a catastrophe though, but as the CEO said in an interview "Software is hard" and he is damn right with that. I think they are doing a great job and the decision to switch to Electron was the right move. Evernote para Linux est actualmente disponible en versin beta privada. But since the new tasks feature came out and the Linux client is still on v10.7.6 - so without the task feature - I switched back to the web client / dedicated Windows 10 VM for Evernote (I have 64 GB of RAM in my Laptop, so I don't care □□♂️️). I used the beta Linux client for a while and was really happy with that.
